Paper Title
Design and Optimization of an all Terrain Vehicle’s “Suspension and Steering System”
Abstract
This paper presents a modified design of suspension and steering system to increase the performance by tuning an All-Terrain Vehicle for different dynamic conditions. The scope of this paper is limited to design - analysis of suspension and steering system, its optimization and to consolidate into whole vehicle system for best outcome. The design goal was to get flat ride, increase wheel recession during jounce, increase anti-squat characteristic, minimize change of kinematics and compliances parameters during dynamic conditions, reduce steering effort, increase component durability and minimize bump-steer and identify and optimize the parameters affecting the dynamic performance of suspension and steering system.
