Paper Title
Comparative Analysis of Retinal Anatomy Detection Techniques
Abstract
The digital fundus images have gained interest in recent years as they serve a key role in detection of retinopathies in patients. Automation of detection has number of benefits. However, the major prerequisites to increase its accuracy are necessary to locate retinal anatomy efficiently. The important retinal anatomy structures are namely optic disc, macula and retinal vasculature. The fundus images captured are often poor quality images. This may cause error in analysis and diagnosis. This paper discussed three major preprocessing techniques and their effect on detection of retinal anatomy and also different techniques used to detect the retinal anatomy automatically. This paper provides gist of the technologies that can be used to preprocess the fundus images and detect the retinal anatomy.
