Paper Title
Children’s Narratives and The Indian Society
Abstract
This paper attempts to discuss the relevance of children’s narratives written by Indian authors in English and their relevance in the Indian society. The central focus is to study the fusion of the English language and Indian culture and the lack of knowledge of such narratives within the Indian context. In doing so, it also aims to bring forth the cultural elements that most widely read Indian children’s narratives encompass. This paper further discusses the Indian society’s need to inculcate in children proper command over the English language, while also putting across Indian traditional, cultural, and moral values.
