Efficiency Improvement Studies using Nanomaterials in BLDC Motor

Abstract
Nanotechnology has proven its wide range of application showing its remarkable progress in thefield of engineering by producing advanced materials, many research and developments projects focused on the development of nanotechnology in various fields of science. The electrical industry also started implementing this nanotechnology to improve performance of electrical components, such as electrical motor which is used in every manufacturing industry plays major part of electrical equipment. When comes to high efficient motor Brushless DC (BLDC) motors has its own importance. This paper discusses about a comprehensive literature on the application of nanotechnology concepts in an electrical motor, especially investigating on coating over windings, insulation, and magnetic material to improve BLDC motor efficiency. Applications and opportunities regarding types of nanomaterial coated BLDC are carefully reviewed. Keywords - Nanotechnology, BLDC Motor, Coating, Windings.
