Power Quality Enhancement in Distribution System for Various Faults using D-Statcom
Power Quality issues and the inadequate power supply are the most effective factors in the power system network. Inadequate power supply issue can be solved by using the hybrid generation or by increesing the generation capacity, in this paper we tried by using the hybrid generation. Power Quality issues under unbalance occurred by various loads and faults in distribution system can be mitigate by usig D-STATCOM (.In this paper we are addressing the simulation modelling and analysis of custom power controllers, power electronic-based equipment aimed at enhancing the quality and reliability of power supply in distribution networks using D-STATCOM. A new control scheme with PWM based technology has been proposed, that only requires voltage measurements and the operation of the proposed control scheme is presented for DSTATCOM. Simulations and their result analysis are carried out in MATLAB/SIMULINK with this control scheme using PWM technology for proposed systems.
