3D Thermal Analysis for Three Phase Capacitor
Abstract
Historically Capacitor thermal analysis has performed with 2d axisymmetric approach for single phase. In this paper 3d simulation methodology is proposed for three phase capacitors. The simulation results show the temperature on the capacitor is not axisymmetric and are three dimensional in nature. The simulation results for maximum temperature inside the capacitor are validated with test results. Hence this methodology is proposed for three phase capacitors.
