Change in Keywords in Search Queries due to New Searching Methods

Abstract
Today, there are millions of websites that are being searched for and only ten of those ranks in the first page, that have the highest possibility of being seen. This is when Search Engine Optimization (SEO) comes into the picture and it is used by the people who want their website to rank as high as possible. There are many factors that affect the website rankings for any search and one of those factors is the keywords in the web search query that match with the content in the webpage. With the evolution of the method of conducting web searches and increasing usage of searching with voice/ speech, the type of keywords- short-tail and long-tail keywords- used in the websites would be affected as the keywords used in typed search and speech-based search are different. This research would help to identify the type of keywords that can be used in the webpages and till what extent should they be changed for the coming times so that more number of keywords can be matched with those used in the search query, helping a person with a website to improve its ranking in respect to the keyword match factor. The results are obtained by collecting the primary data on how people search, analysing it and identifying the type of keywords used by people belonging to different places, age groups and sex. Keywords - Search Engine Optimization, Short-Tail Keywords, Long-Tail Keywords, Webpage Ranking, Keyword Match. Purpose - Determining the Change in the Type of Keywords to be used in a Webpage to Get Maximum Keyword Match with the Search Query.
