Yoga: Understanding The Positive Transforming Effect on Mind and Body: A Review
Abstract
The present study makes an attempt to understand Yoga and its numerous benefits especially on the physical and mental plane. Through review of literature the researcher has tried to trace the origin of Yoga and shed light on the benefits of Yoga such as promotion of physical strength, flexibility and endurance; improving body posture; emotional regulation; increase of concentration and focus. The present study aims at understanding the transformative effect of Yoga on the body and mind by promotion of healthy and stress free living and its popularity as an indigenous healthcare system.
