Paper Title
Implementing Model Reference Adapting System Estimator for the Speed Control of PMSM Motor Control With PID Manual Tuning
Abstract
The industrial use of PMSM motors had relatively increased the last few years regarding to the high efficiency of these motors. The high efficiency of the PMSM motor comes from the feedback provided by the encoder attached to motors body. Any problem in the feedback could put the system completely out of service. One of the solutions for that problem is developing a mathematical feedback model to estimate the rotor speed and position as well. Many approached has been developed so far using different techniques such as slide mood, back EMF method and MRAS estimation technique. Regardless to all the following technique it is still difficult to achieve the required accuracy in estimating both speed and position. This paper discusses an advanced MRAS speed estimation technique and its performance.
