Paper Title
Multi Agent based Cooperative Energy Management System for Rural India

Abstract
Energy in rural India is undergoing a rapid transformation. The government of India’s scheme has brought electricity to million rural households, but still continues to struggle with poor quality of electricity service, load shedding, outages, and voltage fluctuation that prevent rural communities from realizing the full potential of electric power. This paper presents a multi agent smart grid model to fulfill energy demand of rural enterprises. The proposed multi-agent system consists of several agents: A Smart Grid Controller (SGC), Local Distribution Agents (LDAGs), Photo-Voltaic Agents (PVAGs), Bio-Power Agents (BPAGs) and Diesel Agents (DGAGs). The paper demonstrates the use of a multi-agent system to control the smart grid. Keywords - Smart Grid; Multi Agent; Cooperative Energy Management
