Paper Title
Study of Strengthening of RC Structure

Abstract
Nowadays it is very difficult to construct a structure with stability and durability with sustainable resources is a very challenging. Structure starts losing its strength due to many reasons like increase in live load, detoriation of concrete, corrosion of reinforcement due to environmental conditions. Restoration of existing structure is very difficult and challenging task. Making changes in existing structure like changing dimensions of members or changing position of members will affect strength of the structure. To overcome these difficulties, we have to depend on strengthening and rehabilitation of structures. A host of strengthening system have be devised and being adopted over the years. The choice of strengthening technique depends on specific performance requirements. Plate bonding technique has gained widespread acceptance as a potential solution. Fibre-reinforced polymer (FRP) application is a very advanced method for the purpose of repair and strengthens structures which are weakened during their life span. Strengthening can be done by using various material. Steel plate is one of the most common material for strengthening of R.C structures. It is very effective for increasing the flexural and shear capacity of reinforced concrete beam due to its availability, cheapness, high ductility and high fatigue strength. The most common form of plating is to glue steel plates to the tension faces of beams. Fibre reinforced polymer (FRP) materials are continuing to show great promise for using strengthening reinforced concrete structures. These materials are an excellent option for use as external reinforcing, because of their light weight, resistant to corrosion and high strength. Therefore, using fibre reinforced polymer (FRP) for strengthening of reinforced concrete structures is very effective. There are various types of FRP laminates such as CFRP, GFRP etc. In this study automated spreadsheets are prepared for design of FRP Laminate for Beam, Column, Shear wall, etc, and validation cases are studied.
