Paper Title
Performance Analysis of Zero Forcing and MMSE Techniques

Abstract
Multiple Input Multiple Output (MIMO) technologies have been developed as a one of the key technique for next generation wireless communication systems and have been widely used in cellular communication systems nowadays. Compared with Single-Input Single-Output (SISO) technology, MIMO can not only improve spectral efficiency, but also enhance link throughput or capacity. Multipath fading is the key aspect in wireless communication. In MIMO, multiple copies of signals are transmitted through number of transmitter antennas involved in communication. And this multiple copies of the transmitted signal are received by number of receiver antennas, with propagation delay and attenuation. The effect of fading and constructive as well as destructive interference effects can be minimized by using the equalizer techniques. In this paper 2 X 2 MIMO is considered and the performance of linear equalizers, Zero Forcing (ZF) and Minimum Mean Squared Error (MMSE) equalizing techniques is presented. Bit error rates (BER) of BPSK and 16-QAM modulation techniques with Zero Forcing and MMSE equalizing technique with 2 X 2 MIMO communication systems are compared. Results are produced using MATLAB Keywords - 16 QAM, MIMO, Equalizer, MMSE, ZF, Multipath Fading
