Mathematical Modelling for Fracture Behaviour of a Cracked Piezo-Electro-Magnectic Strip Subjected to Linearly Varying Load

Abstract
Dugdale crack model is taken to solve problem of a piezo-electro-magnetic strip when the developed zones are subjected to linearly varying load. With the help of Fourier transform boundary value problem of the crack is reduced to dual integral equations. Anti plane mechanical and in plane electric and magnetic loads are applied on the strip. The solution of dual integral equations is represented in terms of Fredholm integral equations. The explicit expressions are derived for various zones and energy release rate. Mathematical analysis is done by taking particular material constants and results are shown.
