Design of Two Stage Solar Energy Conversion using ANFIS based Recurrent Neurocontrol Algorithm
Abstract
This paper presents a modified design of grid based PV generation system which consists of two stages whereas
in stage-1, to attain maximum power from PV array – a boost converter is chosen and in stage-2, Voltage Source Converter
(VSC) is used for interfacing PV system and grid. In this work an ANFIS based recurrent neuro controller is used for
producing switching pulses to VSC through which the solar energy conversion system (SECS) gains the ability to control
harmonics, compensated reactive power and also achieves grid currents balancing condition. In this paper a Modified version
of controller using ANFIS is proposed and performance is validated with conventional strategies using
MATLAB/SIMULINK platform for considered design conditions.
