Paper Title
Corporate Moral Agency: A Holistic Perspective

Abstract
Does it make any sense to blame an inanimate object like corporation for its wrong action? Usually we morally blame the corporation if it has done something wrong. Can we ever assign moral responsibility to a corporation for its wrong action? The primary aim of this paper is to argue that corporations should be assigned the status of moral agency in order to hold them morally responsible for their actions as well omissions. To argue in this line, the paper will focus on the holism of Peter French who argues that corporations are like human beings and should be held morally responsible for their actions and omissions. Before developing the main argument the paper will deal with the ontological status of corporation. Also the paper would argue that the assignment of moral agency to corporation is a pragmatic necessity and not a logical one. The paper will also discuss the repercussion of the view of holism in corporate ethics.
