Paper Title
Comparative Analysis of PWM Techniques for Novel Multilevel Inverter
Abstract
Multilevel inverters has some advantages such as less stress on switches, minimum total harmonic distortion and can be used in high voltage as well as high power application. In this paper, three different PWM methods are used and design novel multilevel inverter which has minimum number of switches. The three PWM methods are Sinusoidal PWM, multicarrier PWM and space vector PWM. Described topology is designed and also simulated in the MATLAB software. The results are studied by using FFT analysis to see which PWM approach leads lower THD value. The output voltage, output current and total harmonic distortion these three terms are studied and compared.
