Evolution & Development of Education For CWSN (Child With Special Needs) in India
Abstract
Global efforts to the education of disabled children have resulted in positive policy improvements in India, as well as an increase in the enrolment of children who had previously been excluded from the formal school system. This paper examines government policies, their initiatives and efforts in the area of education for child with special needs in India, as well as the current state of disabled education facilities, and makes recommendations based on gaps identified during a survey of related literature. It covers the history of education for CWSN in India and around the world, as well as various policies and organizations working in this area. In order to deliver quality education, the study finishes by emphasizing the urgent need for effective teacher professional development opportunities and other support systems.
