Impact of AI & IOT on Rural Development

Abstract
This paper catalogues some of the successes and identifies the benefit that was derived from computerization. It describes the key features that Government of India programme to use computers for rural development. The result from a small survey which was designed to collect data on status of actual use is low and impact marginal. This paper then attempts to identify to few reasons why there is a difference between demonstrated potential and ground reality. Finally, some suggestions are given to increase the utilization of hardware and manpower resources that have been created. Keywords - Computers, Economy, Impact, Programme
