Design and Development of Neo-Pixel Based Smart Wireless Fitness Training System
Abstract
Fitness is the condition of being physically fit and healthy and involves attributes that include, but are not limited to mental acuity, cardiorespiratory endurance, muscular strength, muscular endurance, body composition, and flexibility. The sports activities help to develop coordination between mind and body and in turn helping to avoid health problems. Hence, the proposed system focuses mainly on design and development of fitness training system called as ‘Fit Light’ and this Fit Light is a unique wireless reaction training system comprised of Time-of-Flight(ToF) LiDAR, WS2812BRGBLED’s, Battery Charging Circuit and ESP WROOM-32 MCU as hardware and ESP NOW Protocol, Bluetooth and Embedded C as software. The Fit Lights are used as targets for the user to deactivate and can be adapted for all sports and training regimes. This training system is designed to capture human performance, targeting reaction time, speed, agility, coordination – all measured for immediate performance feedback via IoT cloud platform. Also, this system is useful for speedy recovery of neurologically affected patients and for the rigorous military training purposes.
