A Study on Behavioral Intention of Gen-X & Millennials Towards The Use of Digital Payment Apps

Abstract
Digital payments have grown significantly in the last few years, becoming one of the most widely used forms of payment. The main objective of carrying out this particular research is to identify the impact created by these online payment applications that play a significant role among Gen X and Millennials. A few group of people would have avoided making digital payments using these apps because of credibility and other security reasons. The independent variables that were considered for the research purpose includes the following they are Ubiquity, Perceived ease of use, Credibility and promotions and the dependent variable is the Behaviour Intention of Gen X and Millennials. The main focus of this research is to study the digital payment apps and its behavioural intention towards it. How frequently a person finds himself/herself making payments using these apps. For the purpose of research data was gathered from 322 respondents aged between 25-57 and random sampling technique was used to collect the data. The result shows that ubiquity, perceived ease of use and credibility have a strong influence on the behavioural intention towards the use of digital payment apps.
