Synthesis and Characterization of Molybdenum Trioxide Nano Particle

Abstract
Our study mainly focuses on the synthesis of molybdenum trioxide nanoparticles (MoO3). Molybdenum complex with N-salicylideneaniline(cappingreagent) as a precursor. The ligand was synthesized and further characterized by 1H NMR and 13C NMR. The formed MoO3 nanoparticles were further characterized by powder X-ray diffraction, FT-IR, UV-visible spectroscopy, TG-DTA, SEM-EDX and TEM. Our result proves the formation of MoO3NPs .The absorption spectra of MoO3also reveals the formation of MoO3 by calculating the band gap at 2.8 eV. This MoO3is stable at very high temperature according to TGA data. TEM and SEM also verified the formation of MoO3 nanoparticles in the range of 30-47 nm.
