Dimensions and Determinants of Financial Inclusion in India: An Interstate Analysis

Abstract
This paper is an attempt to analyse the dimensions and determinants of financial inclusion in India. At present, in our country, a person seems to be financially included is she/he has a saving bank account. Since there could be many dimensions and determinants which influence financial inclusion and lead towards financial deepening. There are mainly four types of indicators of financial inclusion i.e. penetration, affordability and usage of banking services in which penetration and availability are supply-side indicators and usages are demand-side indicators. Demand-side indicators depends on indicators of real factors such as per capita income and HDI. This paper constructs index of financial inclusion for the year 2011-12 and 2018-19 and calculate rank correlation coefficient with the above-mentioned indicators which found significantly strong.
