Paper Title
Study of Column Structure Behaviour with Fiber and Ferro Cement Confinement Under Compression

Abstract
Concrete is one of the backbone of construction. It has several remarkable qualities, including a high compressive strength, moldability, liable cost, aesthetically pleasing appearance, weathering action, etc. However, it also has drawbacks including poor tensile and ductility strength. However, by adding reinforcement to concrete, this issue with low tensile strength can be resolved. Concrete reinforced with confined ferro fibres (CFFRC). High-ductility structures that can be used to build earthquake-resistant structures Concrete is the only building material utilised worldwide in greater quantities than water, ferro cement is a thin composite formed of cement matrix reinforced by closely spaced tiny diameter wire meshes rather than larger diameter rods and large size aggregates. The typical thickness of ferrocement is 25 to 50 mm. Ferrocement is a sound technology /environment friendly and possesses excellent unique mechanical properties such as good tensile strength, improved toughness, water tightness, fire resitance, resistance to cracking and cost, time and material effective construction technology. Ferrocement application originally started with boat building and presently it has got very wide applications in agricultural, water supply, sanitation, housing, repair and rehabilitation of structures etc . Ferrocement is one of the term used to describe the form of reinforced concrete which is differing from conventional reinforced or pre stressed concrete primarily by the manner in which the reinforcing elements are dispersed and arranged. The arrangement of reinforcement is such that a composite material is formed which exhibits behavior sufficiently different from conventional reinforced concrete in toughness and sustainability. Due to these applications it is classified as a separate and distinct material. Keywords - Ferrocement, Fiber, Confinement, Compression
