Paper Title
Physico-Chemical Properties of EP140 Gear Oil Dispersed with SiO2

Abstract
In order to enhance their tribological capabilities, Silicon dioxide (SiO2) have their surfaces modified, which is the topic of this research. Cetrimonium bromide (CTAB) and sorbitan monooleate (SPAN 80) are used to stabilise the SiO2 in the gear oil, and their impact on the physico-chemicalshas been investigated. Gear oil additives contain a mixture of pure and surface-modified SiO2 with a weight percentage of 0% to 0.2%. To learn more about the impact of nanomaterials and surfactants, researchers have examined the foaming propensity and other physicochemical aspects of the test gear oil.The method of surface modification has a significant impact on the physicochemical characteristics of the material. Both CTAB and SPAN 80 were successful in maintaining SiO2 stability in the gear oil without affecting the foaming propensity or any of the other physical or chemical parameters.
