Key Aspects of Media Formation in India

Abstract
There is no doubt that Indian media play an important role. Every sixth person consumes their information. For example, even with a low penetration rate, Indian newspapers reach a larger audience than any other newspaper in any other country in the world. Other Indian media show the same high results in terms of content production, audience reach, revenue, and so on. In this article we consider key aspects in the historical context that have influenced the modern Indian media system formation.
