Design And Implementation of an Efficient Text Summarization Method using Self-Organizing Maps

Abstract
The Covid-19 outbreak brought an abrupt end to physical connection between trainers and students, completely changing the way that information was shared by individuals. As the situation worsened, visuals played a very big role in dissemination of information. A need was felt to augment visual thinking of individuals to accelerate learning by incorporating Disruptive Visual Works (DVWs) to promote critical thinking and active involvement. The use of digital white board applications allowed activation of visual spatial intelligence and bodily-kinesthetic intelligence at different degrees for different participants. Emphasis was on maximum use of these applications in order to comprehend the future while adding self-drawn visual components. A visual thinking workshop was organized where 75 participants responded to the questionnaire that was sent at the end of the event. Outcome of the workshop indicated that effective use of Digital visual tools in future requires learning of visual vocabulary by one and all for accelerated learning.
