Paper Title
Biochemical Composition and Nutraceutical Potential of Knoxia Corymbosa Wild

Abstract
Knoxiacorymbosa wild, one of the species of Rubiaceae, is a tribal medicine widely observed in South Asia. The applicability of the tribal medicines areto be confirmed in terms of its phytochemical composition and the nutraceutical potential. The present study is to quantify the biochemical composition by the proximate analysis and to identify the phytochemical composition. The biochemical composition and the calorific value supportthe possibility of the utilization of the plant as nutraceutical. The phytochemical screening with the four solvent systems: hexane, ethyl acetate, chloroform and methanol have identified the presence of alkaloids, steroids, flavonoids, phenols, saponins and coumarins indicating the pharmaceutical potential of the plant. The detailed analysis of each of these groups are in progress. Keywords - Knoxiacorymbosa Wild, Biochemical Composition, Phytochemistry
