Paper Title
Analysis of 3D Printing Filament using Polyvinyl Alcohol (PVA)

Abstract
3D printing is one of the manufacturing methods commonly used in industry. Nowadays, many types of filaments are created for a particular purpose of the printing process. Sometimes printing some complex designs takes much work to be done. Therefore, the purpose of this study is to study the duration of time to manually remove the unwanted part (support) and dissolve it in water. In addition, to observe the quality of the piece after the removal process. The piece is divided into three simple categories, medium, and complex. Each class will have three units of the piece. It is designed using Autodesk Tinker CAD and printed using a 3D printing machine Ultimaker 3 Extended using Poly Lactic Acid (PLA) filament. The number of pieces printed is about 18 units, where nine units are printed with PLA filament and another nine units are also printed with PLA filament with the Polyvinyl Alcohol (PVA) filament as its support structure. It was found the printed units with PVA filament were faster than those without the PVA and improved in its quality. Keywords - Polyvinyl Alcohol, Polylactic Acid, 3D Printing, Biodegradable.
