Paper Title
Cryptographic Techniques

Abstract
Data plays a very crucial role in our current lives. Data security and privacy are not negotiable. Data sharing and storage must be secured and privacy should be maintained. The word Cryptography is has its root in the Greek word kryptos which translates to “hidden” or “secret”. Cryptography is all about security over the network systems from attacks. Cryptographic techniques are a set of techniques that help in securing data during storage and transmission. The cryptographic techniques include both encryption on the side of sender and decryption on the side of receiver. It includes encoding the data to an unreadable form by following a predefined algorithm so that the data cannot be interpreted or intercepted by an attacker or intruder. The transmitted or stored data is then decrypted by the receiver usually by a key so that they can retrieve the original data and make use of the data. This paper discusses different cryptographic techniques and algorithms used in data securing that are popular and common in practice at present times.
