Abstract
Abstract - This research paper presents a study on wireless charging of electric vehicles and the design and implementation of a 10kW wireless charger based on the principle of electromagnetic induction. The proposed wireless charger system comprises of two coils: one is installed in the charging pad, and the other is integrated into the EV. A high-frequency alternating current is applied to the charging pad coil, which generates a magnetic field that induces a voltage in the EV coil. This voltage is then rectified and used to charge the battery of the EV wirelessly. The paper also discusses the fundamentals of wireless charging, different methods used for wireless charging, the types of coils and health and safety concerns regarding Wireless Charging of electric vehicles.
